Radar & Laser Defense

Portable or Custom-Installed, Done Right

We carry quality portable radar detectors, and for plenty of drivers they are exactly the right call. They are capable, easy to move from vehicle to vehicle, and a real step up over driving unprotected. We will match you to a good one and set it up the right way.

When you want the best protection, a custom-installed system is the way to go. We build radar receivers into the front and rear for true 360-degree coverage, add laser shifters that actively defeat laser enforcement instead of just alerting you, and hide the controller and display so it looks factory. Calibrated to your routes, it warns you about real threats and stays quiet on the false ones.

Common Questions

FAQ

Are radar detectors and laser shifters legal where I drive?

Radar detectors are street legal for passenger vehicles in Illinois and Missouri. Laser shifter rules vary by state and can change, so we walk you through what is currently allowed where you drive before we build anything.

Will it look like it came from the factory?

Yes. We 3D scan the vehicle, design custom mounts, and tuck the controller and display out of sight, so the system blends into your interior instead of cluttering your windshield.

What is the difference between a detector and a laser shifter?

A detector warns you that radar or laser is present. A laser shifter goes further and actively jams the laser signal, buying you time to react. Our top builds combine both.

Will it constantly false-alert?

No. We calibrate the system to your driving environment and use GPS filtering to silence the usual false sources, so the alerts you get are the ones that matter.

Which system is right for me?

That depends on your vehicle, your routes, and your budget. Tell us how and where you drive and we will match you to the right platform, from the Escort Redline to the Radenso RCM, matched to your vehicle and your routes.

What do the X, K, and Ka radar bands mean?

Police speed radar runs on three bands. X band is older and rare now, K band is common but also set off by other cars' blind-spot sensors, and Ka band is what most modern police guns use. A quality system detects all three and filters the K-band noise from traffic, so around the Metro East and St. Louis you hear the alerts that matter and not every passing SUV.

Do I need front and rear coverage around St. Louis?

For our roads, yes. Between I-64, I-70, I-44, I-270, and the river bridges, enforcement can come from any direction, including instant-on radar from behind. Front-and-rear radar receivers and 360-degree laser coverage catch what a forward-facing windshield detector misses.
